2019 UK Heritage Awards names Ardlington Hall as Best Wedding Venue

The 25th March marked the day this year where the winners of the UK Heritage Awards took place at the prestigious Grocer's Hall in London. Among the awards for 'best day out' and 'best for exploring' was the 'best wedding venue' award. If you are dreaming of a stately home wedding, or a ceremony in a grand country house or castle, here is the shortlist:

Broughton Hall, Yorkshire

Adlington Hall, Cheshire

Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire

Askham Hall, Cumbria

St Giles House, Wimborne

Bamburgh Castle, Northumberland

Adlington Hall in Cheshire was chosen as overall winner this year for it's outstanding scenery and superb wedding team and coordinators. Visit Heritage said "There are two beautiful indoor venues – the magnificent Great Hall and welcoming Hunting Lodge – and two breath-taking outdoor areas – the historic walled courtyard or the English Rose Garden – to choose from to take your vows, before a drinks reception in the gardens, a beautiful marquee in the grounds, or a reception to remember in the Hunting Lodge. A dedicated team of wedding coordinators ensures that everything runs totally smoothly – through the planning, and on the day itself." Adlington Hall also won the award for Outstanding Customer Experience. Add this to the Wedding Award and you can see why you are in great hands if you choose to get married at this beautiful venue. Based on not only the judge’s experiences with the venue but also from outstanding client feedback. Adlington Hall came out on top across all areas including: organisation, food and service.

As a Registrar I have had the privilege to work at some truly gorgeous venues over the years and have to say Ardlington Hall ticks lots of boxes for choice, beauty, stateliness and with such a great team, you are halfway there.
